Dr Norlela graduated from Adelaide University, Australia in 1998. Her experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology extended back from 20 years ago as a medical officer in government hospital. She then completed her specialty training with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2008. In 2012, she joined the Fellowship training in Urogynaecology under the Malaysian Ministry of Health. She completed her training and working experiences in Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Nepean Hospital in Sydney, Australia, and St Georges’ Hospital, the United Kingdom in 2016. During her training, she has published few published papers in the field of gynaecology and urogynaecology.
After completing her urogynaecology fellowships, Dr Norlela returned to Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru as a Consultant Specialist and Urogynaecologist. Currently, she is a sessional lecturer and examiner for Monash medical students as well as actively involved in the training of midwives, house officers, medical officers and specialists of HSAJB. She is a member of the Malaysian Urogynaecology of Society, International Urogynaecology Association, Malaysian Medical Association and OGSM members.
